Rookie to the rescue?

WR Reggie Brown didn't practice on Thursday. That's not a good sign with the opener coming in a couple of days. Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg says Brown could still start. We'll see what happens.

Going into the game without Brown and Kevin Curtis puts a lot of pressure on rookie wideout DeSean Jackson. He's clearly the most talented receiver of the remaining guys. That means that Andy Reid and Marty have to get him the ball, rookie or not.

In the past they have tried to work rookies in, but not overuse them. It should be very interesting to see just how much they get the ball to "Peanut", as some teammates call him. Jackson is the most talented rookie receiver the Eagles have had since...Freddie Mitchell? Todd Pinkston? Na Brown? Uhh...let's just say he's the most talented rookie receiver in a long time.

I don't want to put any pressure on DeSean, but I do expect at least 10 catches and 5 TDs.

Good luck, Peanut.
