Couple of Quick Updates

* The Eagles just traded Greg Lewis to the Patriots. No details on the deal yet. We've always thought Greg would end up in NE because of the success he has against them.

* TO was cut by the Cowboys. I know a lot of people are going to speculate about whether the Eagles would dare bring him back. I'll pass.

I think any team that wants him should only sign him to a 1-year deal. TO is great for a season. After that is when he pulls the team apart, like watching the Hulk rip off a shirt.

* Shawn Springs is now a Patriot. He signed with them today. That leaves us wide open at Safety in terms of free agents.

* I'll be posting a list of FA targets here in a little while. Just wanted to get this stuff up while it was fresh.

Tommy, interested on your analysis of FA S Sean Jones who just turned 27, I think he would be a good fit. Ball hawk type with 4 Int last year in only 12 games w/4 passes defended. The prior 2 seasons he had 5 Int and 10 PDEF and 5 Int with 11PDEF. Picked Donovan last season. Option 2Jermaine Phillips. Play maker, I know he is coming off an injury, but as we saw with Stacey Andrews that is not a barrier.

Have the Eagles inquired about Michael Bush as he is reportedley available and is 3 on the Raiders depth chart? Saw him against the Bucs in week 17 last season and he looked very strong and fully recovered from his injury. I would think he could be had for a 3.

This will be our 4th 5th round draft pick and 12th overall in the 2009 draft. We don't even have enough rosters spots for that many picks. I think something big is brewing. Can you speculate as to what may be going on? Could number 5 be on his way out? Kolb's contract is going to end and we don't even know if he can play or not. Couldn't they have gotten next yeras 5th rounder for Lewis. Why is it this year???
