Here are the inactives:
WR Kevin Curtis
OL Mike McGlynn
OL Stacy Andrews
TE Martin Rucker
QB Mike Vick - 3rd QB
DT Trevor Laws
FS Quintin Demps
CB Geoffrey Pope
No shockers in that group.
From the Broncos:
Tom Brandstater (3rd QB), WR Eddie Royal, CB Ty Law, RB LaMont Jordan, S Vernon Fox, FB Spencer Larsen, G Seth Olsen and DL Chris Baker are the inactives.
MEADOWLANDS MASSACRE
I've been watching CAR destroy the G-men. With 5 minutes left it is 41-9. Wow. The Giants started red hot in the game and then Mario Manningham fumbled. That play was like a light switch. CAR came alive and the Giants went to sleep. Jonathan Stewart is near 200 yards.
ANOTHER BIRD LEAVES THE NEST
Say what you want about our organization, but other teams sure like our young guys. S Reshard Langford was signed away by the Chiefs. He showed some promise this summer, but wasn't quite good enough to make the roster.

And the Aints are stumbling to the POs
I started watching NO/TB, but gave up when it was 14-0. I turned back and saw the end. Great job by the Bucs.
The Saints have to be scratching their heads.
Tough call on that challenge. The ball might have gone forward inches, but I sure didn't think it was enough to overturn the call. I didn't see it as obvious.
I feel like each successful team always has an almost unstoppable aspect that often comes alive late in the year and carries over...
I'm hoping/have that gut feeling that Weaver, McCoy and Westy are gonna be one hell of a 3-headed monster to try and stop. Westy sure looks to have his hops back. It's great seeing our RBs going out on patters again as well.
We have weapons at every single starting position, plus on the bench right now.
Dumervil just ate up Peters. Elvis might be short, but those long arms are tough on OTs.
If Mr Peters considers himself a pro bowler like he was saying this week, he needs to do better
juqua just bull rushed the s*** out of that RT. nice 3 man rush.
Wow, your scouting report on Polumbus, Spot On!
Nice sack by Parker. That's what I want to see.
Let's go get some points on offense.
Missed tackle by Dawk on that long screen.
I wish Cole and Todd hadn't whiffed on that screen
Nice run Shady but please hold that ball tighter.
@ Dollar Brand
It really is scary to watch him run with ball like that
Injury to Jamaal. Not good. Now Max will take over RG and Nick will slide into the middle.
Let's hope JJ can come back. The OL has been really good during the winning streak.
We need to run the ball now that we're inside the 10.
we need that consistency on the o line. hopefully it was just a cramp.
great grab by 81. love that guy.
Whew. I thought that flag might be for a pick on us.
Up 7-0. RZ TD. Good stuff.
Moving the ball fluidly against a penalty ridden D
We are playing well. KEEP IT UP
I'm so glad deseans finally getting goal line looks.
Tommy-
Honestly, if you're a DC, how do you cover him?
It's obvious we don't have the refs from the Giants game. Hope Jamaal comes back. He has been the constant on the line.
Man, crazy turn of events. Eddie Royal is inactive. WR Kenny McKinley got hurt. Now Brandon Stokley is ejected. The Broncos are down to 3 WRs. Not good for them.
broncos are down to 3 receivers...
stupid stokely (thanks!)
We'll probably see a lot more Sheffler.
I'll try and write something about covering DeSean this week. Good question.
Biggest complaint of the 1st Qtr is 2 burned timeouts.
Don't come with the answer Tommy
@ TSOP
Ha Ha. I concur. One question I don't want answered.
I don't mind the call to DeSean in general, but I didn't like it there. Go N-S vs Denver. Don't let them string plays out wide.
Up 10-0 at the end of 1st Qtr. Good start.
why don't we get more physical with Marshall? Sheldon layed him out earlier, and he dropped one later. He's their only weapon. Get physical and put someone up top.
BTW- Sheldon deserves a pro bowl this year. Won't happen though.
Great PBU by Mikell.
We're hitting and not wrapping again... McDermott can't allow sloppiness like that to happen
Hanson just missed the tackle on Gaffney. C'mon, MmmBop...you're better than that.
Again wit the hitting and not tackling. Grrr.
Sean Jones and Dmitri Patterson took Sheldon out.
sorry hanson not Pattersn
Dumb decision by Macho. Should have stayed in the end zone.
A quick strike TD would be nice here.
Wow. I didn't get excited on the Celek TD at all because I was just sure there would be some flag on us. Celek was just so open it seemed to good to be true.
Tommy your right, that was NICE
especially against such a good pass D
Quick enough? If not for the tipped pass may have been a tad quicker.
The reason I wanted the quick TD was to depress Denver. They just worked their butts off to go score. A quick strike from us is like "Big deal. Why are you guys so excited about scoring a TD?".
We'll see if it has that effect.
Outstanding drive here late in the half. I'm really impressed with our offense.
So after a dose of Celek and DeSean we introduce Maclin. Keep up Denver, keep up
At the 2-min warning we have 271 yards. DEN has 86. Crazy.
Good protection by the makeshift line. 5 is really spreading it around.
Sloppy play here at the end of the half.
Cole at C has caused us a couple of problems.
20-7 is good. Plus, we get the ball to start the 2nd half.
I really like Tracy White's game lately. He's around the ball a lot and he plays hard when he gets to see the field.
A very nice way to finish the half. Take that!!!
Get up Bunk. Stud DTs aren't allowed to get hurt.
Maclin's been great with those slants this year. He gets inside position and turns up field fast. With a year in this system our outside guys are gonna be dangerous.
Stupid McNabb throw. He didn't have as much pressure on him as he thought.
We're gift-wrapping plays for Denver right now. Can't do that.
I hope Mikell is okay. I'd hate for that to be a concussion.
Looked like maybe his left shoulder when he hit the ground...
How many tipped passes have we dropped now? 3? Frustrating.
That would have been a big pick by Hanson.
We've had a few balls over the middle of the field that we were close to, but we've yet to make the grab. I'll be optimistic and say that means we're due to get one soon.
Well Tommy - we got our tipped pass!
That was an ugly drive, but it resulted in a TD.
I'm always happy to see Avant getting the ball.
BTW...we are now the highest scoring team in Eagles history.
Why is Jim Nantz stealing my material?
I do love Buck. I hope he finishes with some good numbers...in a loss, of course.
aw ****... get up sheldon...
I am Jim Nantz.
I do not like seeing 24 on the ground in discomfort. We need him.
@ Baloophi...
2 questions:
1 - If that is true I'm sure you can tell me the name of one of your college roommates that is well known.
2 - What does Billy Packer look like naked?
Did you see Macho lay out Marshall???
great pick by asante. 9 on the year? makes up for some of those missed tackles..
also surprised to see howard has 6.5 sacks on the year. it would be nice if he could even start to heat up now and build on that
Tommy -
Sadly I can't answer the first question. Even sadder? I can answer the second.
the fowl against Macho is bollocks, excuse my English
That was a great hit by Macho. They called a penalty, but I thought it was a good shot.
9 picks by Sammie. Great stuff.
@ Baloophi...
Great answers.
Golfer Fred Couples was Jim's roommate for a year or two at Houston.
Ugly possession. We're missing JJ at Center.
This has turned ugly. Thank god we're up 17.
it's amazing how many close games we've had considering we're the best 1st quarter (and possibly 1st half) team in the NFL (according to stats shown earlier). are we that bad in the 2nd half?
I appreciate the Nantz trivia... here's another little-known nugget:
Freddy Couples and Jim Nantz were actually the charter members of Phi Slamma Jamma.
Gaffney is somehow Jerry Rice against our defense.
barf-o-rama
Darrell Reid is a great STer, but Macho has to hold that ball tighter.
macho mistake for macho harris
(sorry i had to. at least I apologized).
big hit. we need a goal line stand BAD right now.
Sickening.
27-10 turns into 27-24.
Let's see how we respond.
the never-ending penalties on Samuel's pick were killer...
why are we always so bad in the 3rd quarter? do the coaches and players let up?
running backs are all over 5 ypc right now.
*hint hint, andy*
What a horrible 3rd Qtr.
The Broncos are keying on that screen every time Westy comes in.
Can we ask them to review the backward pass play again this half?
the announcer said macho mistake. i want credit for that
close game, momentum not in our favor and what do we do when it gets tight? throw it 6 times in a row with no luck. let's ignore the fact that westy is avg 4.5 ypc today and that shady is avg 5 ypc.
Great defensive stand. Cole and Sheldon came up big.
Same play that Dallas used with Miles Austin... Sheldon's been hitting the game tape.
sheldon's a gamer. can't believe asante has a chance at double digit interceptions.
These late flags are infuriating.
At least we earned this one.
What the heck, man?
We're doing everything we can to give the game away. Someone needs to make a huge play.
I recommend something of the strip-sack variety...
if i could give the ball to one person right now it would be jason avant...
i wouldn't mind getting 36 super involved right now too
Our defense has responded twice in a row. Now it is time for the offense to step up.
Let's feed the ball to McCoy and mix in some throws to Celek/Avant/Maclin.
The wheels are off. What happened to Celek? I'd prefer him and Avant over the middle if we're just going to try to pass our way out of this game...
We cannot seem to win the battle of field position in these last few drives.
since the game has gotten tight we've had 12 offensive plays and have thrown the ball 10 times. that's 83% passes and we're up by 3 points!!!!!!!!!!!
i think andy's little pink thing comes out as he watches donnie drop back to pass.
and can we pull a tonya harding on sav rocca before next week's game.
great job/tackle by hanson to read the screen
The comeback is complete. 27-27.
Now we need to go get points. Get the ball to McCoy and Weaver.
Macho is going to drive me crazy.
Take Macho off kickoffs. Please. Put Maclin back there even.
I hate how McNabb waves the ball when he's getting taken down. RUN THE DAMN BALL ANDY
make that 12 pass attempts out of last 14 plays. sorry tommy, when you asked to get the ball to weaver or mccoy he thought you meant drop back to throw the ball again.
McNabb hurt his left leg on the scramble. I think. Started to grab his hammy ... looked like.
Finally, we have pinned them deep.
We'll see if the D can make a big play for us.
bad hammy for mcnabb.
luckily, as my Redskin friend points out every week, McNabb plays better when he's hurt!
Does anyone know what happened to Sean Jones?
Did he pass by a mirror and knock himself out?
No idea.
The ball comes loose at the end. That won't be ruled a catch.
def a catch. if they overturned the backward pass they better overturn this for a catch.
I hope I'm wrong, obviously.
I don't see where it came loose?
Especially on this play but just in general, he reminds me of Chad Johnson.
Great call by Mike Carey.
Clutch.
i'll take the win, but the fat man didn't help our cause with that play calling in the last quarter and a half.
Crazy game, but it sure does feel good to be 11-4.
The pressure is on Dallas to win tonight and stay alive in the division race.
Just saw a graphic during the Skins-Cows game that said Dallas only has 2 starters who've missed more than 1 game this season.
That's incredible. Can you imagine what our team would be like if we didn't have serious injury problems? McNabb played against New Orleans. Disco Stew in the middle. Brian Westbrook and Todd Herremans bringing consistency to pass protection
Still watching the Skins-Cowboys game...
Looks like the Cowboys are going to lock this one up, but an issue came up during the broadcast that really upsets me - Dan Snyder is making a mockery of the Rooney Rule.
It's well known that Mike Shanahan is Snyder's #1 choice for the head coach job, but under NFL rules he must interview at least 2 minority candidates for the job. So what does Snyder do? He interviews his defensive coordinator, Greg Blache, who everyone in Skinsland knows has no desire to coach next season. In fact, Snyder had to talk Blache in to coming back this season.
To me, this looks like Snyder is trying to skirt the rule by interviewing someone he knows won't take the job. That's not why the Rooney Rule is in place. We all know Snyder wants Shanahan, but at least take the hiring process seriously. It's exactly this type of neglect that brought Jim Zorn to D.C., so good luck with that.
Washington: where coaches go to tarnish their reputation.
